Latest Rugby News from Lovell Rugby

Just like a bus, the injuries are coming all at once in the Premiership, as no sooner had we published our previous blog, than it emerged that Tom Varndell has now been ruled out for up to four months with a ruptured bicep.

The news will come as a bitter blow to Varndell, last season’s top Premiership try scorer, who now faces a lengthy spell on the sideline following surgery this week. The incident occurred during training this week and is further bad news to London Wasps who also have back-row, Rory Pitman out for a similar period with ankle ligament damage.

With all this injury news, we wouldn’t want you thinking it’s all doom and gloom in the rugby world. Whilst on the subject of Tom Varndell, why not check out our interview with the Wasps wing which will certainly brighten the mood and is a great read.
