Fly-half Toby Flood has put pen to paper on a new three-year deal with Aviva Premiership outfit Leicester Tigers.

The England international (Who wears Nike laser 3 Rugby Boots) has been a stand-out performer since joining the Tigers from Newcastle Falcons in 2008.

After spending much of his time in the shadow of Jonny Wilkinson at the Falcons, the 25-year-old has flourished since moving and is now not only first choice for club, but also for country.

Flood’s current deal was set to expire at the end of June, but the club had no hesitation in offering a new contract to a player who Leicester boss Richard Cockerill hailed as one of the best pivots in the world.

Flood is expected to return from a knee injury when Leicester tackle the Scarlets in the Heineken Cup action this weekend.

Flood will be looking for a strong return to action, after Wilkinson’s strong start to the season with Toulon. Flood has was a key part in the England attack becoming more dangerous on the recent tour of Australia.
