A clash of two hemispheres, as north meets south, in one of the greatest sporting spectacles in the world. Unless you have been stuck in the outback or in the wilderness of the valleys, you can’t have failed to escape the fact that this Saturday sees the First Test between the British & Irish Lions and Australia.

It’s been twelve long years since the Wallabies last hosted the Lions and the Tourists are looking for revenge following their 2-1 Series defeat last time they visited. With Warren Gatland taking charge and Sam Warburton leading the team on the field, the class of 2013 will be in search of victory and nothing less.

With the official teams for both sides set to be announced on Thursday, we decided to use our rugby expertise to name what we think will be the starting line-up for the British & Irish Lions in Brisbane.

1 Adam Jones

2 Tom Young

3 Mako Vunipola

4 Alun Wyn Jones

5 Paul O’Connell

6 Tom Croft

7 Sam Warburton

8 Jamie Heaslip

9 Mike Phillips

10 Jonathan Sexton

11 George North

12 Jonathan Davies

13 Brian O’Driscoll

14 Alex Cuthbert

15 Leigh Halfpenny

The Lions suck I mean come on what’s happened to the 1997 Lions when they came out to South Africa and won they played hard and well they were selected a small squad team and not brining in players foreign you need to go on merit and British select them early job done the Lions are a joke
