Stade Francais Fly Half Lionel Beauxis Joins Toulouse
Stade Français and France fly-half Lionel Beauxis will join European Champions Toulouse at the end of the season after a signing a three-year deal.
Beauxis (Who wears Adidas Predator Rugby Boots), who has 15 Test caps for France, will leave Paris to fill the gap left at Toulouse by the departure of David Skrela to Clermont. Skrela had also joined left Stade Français in favour of the seventeen-time French champions.
25-year-old Beauxis inked the new deal with Toulouse on Thursday despite Stade Français‘ best efforts to keep him in the capital.
Originally from Pau, near the Pyrenees, the possibility of being closer to his family helped persuade Beauxis to make the switch. Many believe Beauxis’s move to Toulouse will give him the Springboard to get a recall to the French National Team.
