Sergio Parisse Spotted in New Adidas R15 II Rugby Boots
Stade Francais number 8 Sergio Parisse has made the switch from Nike to Adidas. The Italian captain has been wearing Nike Tiempo Legend Rugby Boots for a number of seasons however it seems he used the opening game of the Six Nations against France to show off his new boots; the Adidas R15 II SG Rugby Boots White, Black & Blue.
The Adidas R15 II rugby boots are ideal for someone in Parisse’s position at the back of the scrum as they are light in weight so the wearer has an advantage over their opposition being able to reach their top speed quicker whilst being more nimble on their feet. One of the reasons for the decrease in weight is the new one piece outsole. Adidas have also used a new light weight stud on the boot which has made the boot 46g lighter than its predecessor.
The boot has a new heel which features a Synthetic Print on the lining to help prevent heel slippage. This along with the cemented leather in the forefoot, which is designed to prevent shoe deformation and stretching, will give the wearer a boot which will mould to their feet perfectly and offer a comfortable fit.
The white, black and blue colourway Parisee sported goes well with the Italy home strip and will also look good when the they play in their alternate white kit.
It has been confirmed that Parisse has made the permanent switch to Adidas and will wear the R15s when Italy take on England at the weekend.
