Rugby Boot Spotting – Super XV 24th and 25th February 2012
The 2012 Super XV season kicked off on Friday morning with the Crusaders getting a narrow victory over the Blues. The games continued over the weekend when on Saturday, the reigning champions the Reds, scored in the last play of the game to snatch victory against the Waratahs.
The first rugby boots spotted is the England international James Haskell on his Super XV debut sporting a pair of Adidas R15 rugby boots. Elton Jantjies scored all the points for the Lions wearing a pair of Puma v1-10 rugby boots and Ryan Crotty helped the Crusaders to victory in a pair of the new Adidas f50 colourway. Percy Montgomery look-alike Joe Pietersen kicked the Stormers to a Week 1 win in the new Dresden Blue Puma v1.11s whilst Rob Horne wore a pair of Adidas adiPower Predator rugby boots in his sides defeat to the Reds.
James Haskell
Plays for: Highlanders and England
Wears: Adidas R15 SG Rugby Boots White, Black & Red

Haskell made a big impact for his new side after coming off the bench. In the last play of the game, the former Wasps man was first to the breakdown and forced the opposition player to hold on to the ball on the ground effectively ending the game. A great start for Haskell in the Super XV.
Elton Jantjies
Plays for: Lions
Wears: Puma v1-10 Final Rugby Boots Team Gold, Green & Black

The young South African scored all 27 points for his side against the Cheetahs which will have caught the attention of the other 14 sides. Teams will now know they cannot give away penalties in their own half when Jantjies is on the field.
Ryan Crotty
Plays for: Crusaders
Wears: Adidas f50 adiZero XTRX FG Football Boots Black/Running White/Electricity

It was Crotty’s centre partner Robbie Fruean who was at the centre of one of the highlights from the opening game (a huge hand off on Peri Weepu) but it was the number 12 who wore the standout boots. The adidas f50 is primarily designed for football however can be worn for rugby.
Joe Pietersen
Plays for: Stormers
Wears: Puma v1.11 K i Rugby Boots Dresden Blue/White/Lime Punch

After spending last season with Bayonne, Pieterson made a successful comeback to the Super XV grabbing himself 21 points and helping his side to the win. Pietersen’s versatility and kicking game will make him a key player for the Stormers this season.
Rob Horne
Plays for: Waratahs and Australia
Wears: Adidas adiPower Predator XTRX SG Boots Black/Warning Orange

Unlucky to be on the losing side after an great all round performance. Horne put in a couple of massive hits and looked lively with ball in hand. The centre will be looking to secure a place in the Australia starting XV come the summer.

Just to ask will you be stocking anymore of the Adidas R15 SG Rugby Boots White, Black & Red that James Haskell is wearing, I was going to buy a pair but you only had them in 13s? Thanks guys

Hi there,
Do you stock any of the boots that Craig Joubert wears? I believe they are possibly a 118 pro, however have a black upper rather than a white.
Cheers -
When is the 12/13 Predator RX XTRX SG due out?

Guys, was wondering if you have a date from which you will be stocking the new Crusaders (2012) kits? That have just started to be worn with the new super 15 season kicking off, cheers!
