Rugby Boot Spotting – RWC Round 3
The Rugby World Cup is coming to the final round of matches and there are still plenty of teams in the mix for the quarter finals. Argentina scored a late winner against Scotland to open thier group up, New Zealand saw off the French to all but secure top spot and Ireland won again to keep up their 100% run so far.
Boot spotted this week are New Zealands Israel Dagg in RS7s, Scotland utility back Nick De Luca in Asics Lethal DS 3 Boots and Irelands Andrew Trimble who wears Puma Kings. Returning England winger and Total 90 wearer Mark Cueto also features along with All Black fly half Dan Carter in a pair of Adidas Predators.
Israel Dagg
Plays for: Crusaders and New Zealand
Wears: Adidas adizero RS7 Boots White & Red
The New Zealand full back scored twice against France and will be hoping that he did enough to secure a place in the starting line up for the rest of the competition. Dagg hit a lovely goose-step before touching down for his second score.
Nick De Luca
Plays for: Edinburgh and Scotland
Wears: Asics Lethal DS 3 IT Boots White, Silver & Navy
De Luca and the rest of the Scottish team will be disappointed with their defeat against Argentina. It now means that they have to defeat England in their final group game to have any chance of qualifying.
Andrew Trimble
Wears: Puma King Finale Boots Black, White & Yellow
With Tommy Bowe and Keith Earls the preferred choice on the wings for Ireland so far at the World Cup, Trimble will wonder whether his try scoring performance against Russia can make the coaches have a re-think.
Mark Cueto
Wears: Nike Total 90 Laser III Boots Metallic Blue Dusk & Neon Yellow
After missing the first two pool matches through injury, Cueto made his return against Romania and managed to bag himself a hat-trick. The tries he scored though may not be enough to keep him in the starting XV with Delon Armitage performing well against Argentina and Georgia.
Dan Carter
Plays for: Crusaders and New Zealand
Wears: Adidas Predator RX SG Rugby Boots White, Black & Gold
If New Zealand are to go all the way in this years competition, you can guarantee that Dan Carter will be at the centre of it. The All Blacks fly half upped his game against France to guide his side to victory.
