Rugby Boot Spotting – 3rd and 4th December
Shane Williams international career came to a close at the weekend whilst another (shorter) legacy continued; Harlequins beat Wasps which means they have played 10 league games, won 10 league games this season. Even though Williams last game for Wales ended in defeat, he managed to finish on a high with a try in the last play of the game.
Williams is the first player boot spotted this week in a pair of the new Puma V1.11s featuring messages from his fans following a twitter competition by Puma. There were two more spots from the game with Australia’s James Slipper sporting the Asics Lethal Warno SG Rugby Boots and young welsh back Scott Williams wearing the new Adidas Prime Blue RS7′s.
Matt Hopper of Harlequins also features in a pair of White and Gold Nike Legends.
This weekend the Heineken cup returns as some teams attempt to continue on from their great starts in the competition whilst others will be attempting to get their campaigns back on track.
Shane Williams
Wears: Custom Puma v1.11 SG Boots Yellow, White & Purple
The only way the game could of gone any better for Williams was if he was on the winning team. Unfortunately, this was not the case as his Wales career ended with a defeat. There was a great atmosphere at the game on Saturday for Williams send off. His boots were personalised with fans messages for the special day.
James Slipper
Plays for: Queensland Reds and Australia
Wears: Asics Lethal Warno SG Rugby Boots Black/White
The 22 year old has bright future ahead of him and will be hoping to make a big impression in next seasons Super 15 season. The Asics Lethal Warno boots are ideal for the prop as they have 8 stud which means the boot offer superior grip when scrummaging.
Scott Williams
Wears: Adidas adiZero RS7 II Pro SG Rugby Boots Prime Blue and Electricity
With Shane now gone, it is up to Scott Williams to now make a name for himself on the Welsh side. After a promising World Cup he will be hoping that he can get an opportunity in the side.
Matt Hopper
Plays for: Harlequins
Wears: Nike Tiempo Legend IV SG Boots White & Gold
Hopper managed a try against Wasps at the weekend and will hoping to keep his place in the side even with Ugo Monye on his way back from injury. This time last year Hopper was playing Championship rugby but has adapted to life in the Premiership very well.
Thank you to Principality who supplied us with two tickets to the Wales vs Australia game!

Puma V1.11s are a really nice boot, especially in the yellow. They really stand out from the rest.
Scott williams looks sick in the new adidas Prime blue boots, he is young but he packs a punch and he works hard for the ball.
