Lovell Rugby Product Review – Nike Mercurial Vapor VI Rugby Boots
Lovell Rugby is pleased to Review the New Mike Mercurial Vapor.
The Nike Mercurial Vapor range has an army of loyal fans, who have been keen to find out what developments Nike have made with the Vapor.
Tipping the scales at a mere 230grams (US size 9), the Mercurial Vapor VI will bring you up to pace with the modern game. Design input and feedback has come from players across the globe, including Chris Ashton, Ugo Monye, Vincert Clerc, Cedric Heymans, Drew Mitchell and Morne Steyn. Enabling Nike to create the ultimate pro level Rugby boot for players who know that a split second makes all the difference!
The upper of the Nike Mercurial Vapor VI football boots is made from a soft and supple Teijin synthetic material, engineered to conform to your foot’s shape for ultimate comfort. The re-engineered upper is enhanced with specifically placed ball-control coating on the lateral forefoot, to aid control of the ball at top speed, and the unique colourway and pattern is designed to stand out on the pich.
The Vapor VI benefits from a stretch-synthetic leather lace cover to increase ball contact area for improved accuracy and touch, whilst an internal heel counter helps lock down the foot for a snug, secure fit.
A glass fibre chassis brings you closer to the new enhanced traction elements. The new technology includes direct injected studs, that ensures a dramatic 12% weight reduction whilst enhancing strength and durability. A new Vapor Traction II design, means the forefoot studs are shaped to offer multidirectional traction, with central arms for acceleration/deceleration and optimal sprint traction. Acceleration and sprinting is further enhanced by concentrated forefoot zonal spikes, inspired by tracks spikes to optimise grip at toe-off for an extra burst of speed, giving you an advantage over the opposition!
