England and Tigers Fly Half Toby Flood Ruled Out For Two Months

Posted on by Ben

Leicester Tigers and England fly-half Toby Flood (Who Wears Nike Laser Rugby Boots) will be ruled out for two months. His knee ligaments are not torn but he will be sidelined for the first couple months of the new Aviva Premiership.

The 25-year-old hobbled off the pitch near the end of the first-half in Sunday’s Premiership match against Northampton with suspected torn ligaments.

Scans this week have revealed that the ligaments in question are only strained but the injury has nevertheless ruled him out of action for around eight weeks.

The news means that Flood is likely to be fit for England’s November internationals but will miss Leicester’s opening two Heineken Cup matches (away to Treviso and at home to the Scarlets) in October.

Meanwhile, the Tigers hope to have the England flanker Tom Croft amongst their replacements for Saturday’s match against Exeter at Welford Road following a shoulder injury.
