Cipriani Set To Join Melbourne Rebels

Wasps have confirmed that Danny Cipriani has agreed terms with new Australian Super 15 franchise the Melbourne Rebels for next year.
Cipriani’s ties with Wasps will be cut at the end of the season, although a return is likely and discussions on that subject are ongoing.
“Obviously we are disappointed that Danny is leaving, especially as he has worked hard on a return to form on the back of a couple of nasty injuries,” said Wasps coach Tony Hanks.
“However, knowing his reasons are based on rugby and personal development, we as a Club support his decision.

Who Would Be In Your England Team For The Opening Game Against Wales?

With 3 weeks to go before the opening round of the Six Nations championship talk in the office is of who is on form and possible selections for England’s Opening Match against Wales.
Lovell Rugby thinks the game will be vital especially for England, who could do with a win to give them confidence for the rest of the championship. The championship which we think is more open than most think. Most people would suggest Ireland are Favourites at this stage after a solid Autumn international period. Although this year all teams are capable of turning each other over.
After Englands indifferent but slightly improving form in November and the return of Key players from Injury Lovell Rugby is fairly optimistic England can rediscover winning ways.
We have been watching the Guinness Preimership closely and Heineken cup closely monitoring players from to see who are the favouries to start at Twickenham.

Lovell Rugby Team Of The Year 2009

Here in the office, much debate has gone into picking the Lovell Rugby World Team Of The Year 2009. It really has been a great year for Rugby. After much deliberation, here is our team of the year:
15- Rob Kearney- Ireland
The Leinster Full Back (who wears Nike Laser 3 Rugby Boots) with a siege gun left boot. He helped Ireland win the Grand Slam, Leinster win their first Heineken cup and played outstanding for the Lions in South Africa.
14- Corey Jane- New Zealand
The Hurricanes man is more happy at Fullback, although has had a great year on the wing. He played the majority of games for the All Blacks this season and scored some really important tries. Is as good going forward as is going back, which is vital in the modern game.
