Beale Back To Waratahs
Next season will see Kurtley Beale back in NSW colours following the announcement of a new one-year contract with the Sydney-based side.
It is not the first time that Beale has represented the Waratahs, having made his provincial debut as an 18 year old back in 2007 before 68 appearances across five seasons. Having spent the last two years playing for the Melbourne Rebels, he is expected to mark his return for the 2014 Super Rugby season following time out recovering from shoulder surgery.
Excited about the prospect of playing under Michael Cheika and the coaching team at NSW, Beale said ‘I feel at home in Sydney, it’s where my family are. The Waratahs are a team going places and I’m really looking forward to playing some good consistent rugby.’
Of course Beale will be most remembered by British & Irish Lions fans for that slip in the final kick of the first Test, which cost Australia victory and set the visitors on their way to a historic Series win.
