Any occasion when Australia and New Zealand meet in rugby league is always going to be a passionate affair, even more so when it is the¬†ANZAC Test and¬†being staged in Canberra to celebrate 100 years as the nation’s capital.

With Australia the Four Nations Champions and New Zealand reigning World Champions, these are the two undisputed heavyweights of rugby league, as both teams begin the preparation for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup staged later this year.

In a rather one-sided affair, the Kangaroos showed their dominance with a comfortable 32-12 victory against a depleted Kiwi side. Four tries in the space of eleven, second half minutes effectively killed off the game as Australia stretched their Test winning streak to 14.

Aside from the action, fans will have also noticed that Australia and New Zealand were sporting their latest kits from Canterbury and BLK respectively. Both teams were wearing their traditional home colours, with Australia taking to the field in green and gold whilst New Zealand pulled on their famous black look.
